Die IN-12A vom russischen Hersteller Sovtek ist eine mittelgroße Nixie mit einer Ziffernhöhe von 18mm. Sie besitzt einen ovalen Sockel und benötigt eine ovale Fassung. Hier sieht man die Nixie im Größenvergleich:

Auch hier ist wieder die typische spiegelverkehrte 2 als 5 zu sehen. Diese Nixie ist noch zu relativ hohen Stückzahlen verfügbar, auch Fassungen sind durchaus noch erhältlich. Die IN-12A kommt unter den russischen Kopffüßlern als häufigste in Uhrenprojekten zum Einsatz.

Sollte ein Dezimalpunkt benötigt werden, kommt in verschiedensten Projekten gerne die Schwester der IN-12A, die IN-12B zum Einsatz, die einen Dezimalpunkt auf der linken Seite aufweist.

The IN-12A from the Russian manufacturer Sovtek is a medium-sized top-view Nixie tube with a digit height of 18mm. She has an oval base and consequently needs an oval socket. This is the IN-12A in size comparison:

As with most Russian Nixie tubes, the 5 is an inverted 2. The IN-12A can still be purchased in large amounts, as well as corresponding sockets, which is probably the reason why the IN-12A is often found in Nixie tube clocks.

If a decimal point is needed, the sister of the IN-12A can be used, the IN-12B.
